Silica sol has excellent bonding properties. During the preparation of refractory materials, it can firmly bond various refractory aggregates, powder materials and other particles together. During the drying and heat treatment processes, the silica sol loses water to form a silica gel, which then transforms into amorphous silica. It forms tough chemical bonds between the particles, endowing the refractory materials with high strength at room temperature and flexural strength, ensuring that the refractory materials are not prone to cracking and spalling during use.
